Wenxing Bridge

Wenxing Bridge was built with single-hole-wooden-structure using traditional craft method that was seen in stilted building in 1746. The roadbed of the bridge was stuffed by huge river pebbles instead of harden cement which was a miracle that the brick walls had never crumbled in the past hundreds of years.

Yutou Ancient Dong Village, the “physical museum” of Dong architecture, is located in the southwest of Tongdao, Hunan. It Covers an area of 11 hectares, built along the mountains with the typical features of Dong style.

The Huilong Bridge in Tongdao is located aside the Huangtu village and Pingtan village, right across the Pingtan River. It embodies the bridge building level of Dong craftsmen and also offers precious physical material for researching.

In Ping Tan, Pu Ji bridge is the most famous bridge, which is regarded as the “ Living fossil” of bridge architecture.
